Wearing Good PE Shoes: For the most part, if the shoes are have laces, straps, or velcro that keep the shoe on and allow the student to run, jump, and move around easily, it is a good shoe. Shoes such as flip flops, sandals, and boots (rain and snow boots) are not allowed due to safety concerns for your child and their classmates. If students happen to forget their "good PE shoes" on a PE day, they will likely have to miss out on certain activities for that day. If a student forgets their PE shoes multiple times in a semester, it can also affect their grade.
INJURY/ILLNESS NOTES: In order for a student to sit out due to an outside of school injury/illness, please write a note explaining the situation and how long they are not allowed to participate in PE. If the injury/illness lasts longer than 1 week, please send a doctors note in with your child. You can also email me directly at [email protected] prior to your child's next PE class.
ALL STAR AWARDS: At the end of each PE class, a student who has shown exceptionally good behavior or goes above and beyond expectations will receive an "ALL STAR" award for the student to show off and take home to their parents! These are sent home if a student is extremely helpful in class, is very encouraging and positive to other classmates, or demonstrates a high level of our CARY expectations during PE that day.

3. Be a Terrific Teammate (Always show good sportsmanship to your teammates and the other team, use equipment correctly and safely, play fair)
