WCPSS PE TEACHER CREATED ACTIVITIES
When schools were virtual during 2020, the WCPSS Physical Education teachers created some amazing videos demonstrating activities students can do at home. Each video is aligned to the NC PE Standards and will work on either locomotor skills, manipulative skills, rhythmic routines, or physical fitness. To access these fantastic activities click HERE.

GONOODLE
GoNoodle is a great resource with many activities for students (and their parents) to enjoy! You can download the app on your phone, tablet, or computer and it is completely FREE!! GoNoodle allows students to pick their character which they can level up the more workouts they complete. The website for GoNoodle is even used in our PE classes as warmups and exercises that the entire class enjoys. To download the app, search "GoNoodle Kids" or go to gonoodle.com and create an account to get moving!
COSMIC KIDS YOGA
Cosmic Kids Yoga is an amazing and FREE resource to help students increase flexibility, muscular strength and endurance while also lowering stress!! There are HUNDREDS of videos to explore, and some cool themes/backgrounds for each video. (Such as Frozen, Moana, Pokemon and more!) This can be fun for the whole family and is sure to help put a smile on everyone's face! Click HERE if you want to be more mindful, relaxed and healthy!
Kidshealth.org-This website (click link to the left) is a great resource that can teach students a lot about their bodies and staying healthy. There are videos, games, articles, and more! A few of the topics that are covered on this website include how the body works, staying safe, staying healthy, and kids' medical dictionary. The website also has a parents page and all of the material is available in both English and Spanish.
CDC List of Websites for Kids-This website link above has a long list of websites that allow students to learn move about being healthy, active, and safe. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is aimed at keeping kids healthy all across America. By clicking on the links on this website, you will have access to puzzles, games, videos, and coloring pages that will teach you so much. Go ahead and check it out!
HealthyChildren.org-The Healthy Children website will give you help and advice about all aspects of your child's health. This website is "powered by pediatricians" and has helpful information about nutrition, fitness, emotional wellness and so much more! There are many helpful resources and you can even "ask the pediatrician" if you have questions about any aspect of your child's health. Children's Comprehensive Health GuideDrugwatch.com has created a comprehensive health guide for parents that guides them through many things they need to know about their children from birth through teenage years. It has recommended shots/vaccines, information on important topics, and things to know to have your child have a healthy body and mind. Click on "Drugwatch.com" above!

DarebeeDarebee (<---Link) Darebee is an incredible website FULL of exercises (many uncommon ones to the average person), healthy challenges, workouts, recipes, advice and so much more!!! The website is very easy to navigate and the instructions and visuals along with videos make everything easy to understand and follow!
ChooseMyPlate.gov-This website is created and maintained by the USDA and is full of many helpful tools and resources for babies, children, teens, and adults! Not only can this website tell you the recommendations for diet and exercise, but it will also provide you with tracking tools to see how you are comparing to those recommendations. The best part is that it is absolutely free! Take a look!

LOCOMOTOR AND SPORT SKILL VIDEOS TO HELP YOUR CHILD PRACTICE AT HOME
